Author's comments:
Character design as well as lightsaber color and hilt have no effect on the game at all, so I just picked what I liked best. The game contains of some missions you have to do and 3 sets of 5 missions to choose from. You have to do 4 in each set, so I obviously skip the one that takes longest. Before each of those 12 missions I chose you can improve one of the light or dark side force powers. Core force powers are increased by one after segment 8 and segment 15, or rather before set 2 and set 3. As you will notice, the better those core powers get the easier it is to take a shortcut.
Segment 11, 13, 14, 15 and 21 have been improved after I had finished the game. They stay entirely compatible to the rest of the run, so the only difference that could be noticed is that the time on the saves is off by a bit, but that's not important at all. Something else you will notice is that I used a whole lot less saves than I did in Jedi Outcast. I only save before the bosses. Anyway, now for some comments on some levels:
yavin2: There's that long waiting times at the beginning, so I jump around on Rosh's and Kyle's heads. Well, I usually bounce back and forth between some, but I messed that up in the run where the important things went fast. I also messed up after the training remotes. You can jump on top of the wall from there, but I feel down >_< Well, it was just for fun anyway.
hoth2: I have no idea why there is no hoth1. Anyway, you're not supposed to take the Taun-Taun over that stone barrier, but hey, it's easy if you just boost over a stone. However, it seems to disapp ear halfway through the cave. The second Taun-Taun is in an awkward position as well. I wonder how it got up there, it usually is in front of the cave. The other Taun-Taun in that area was missing in action as well.
t2_trip: There's an ultra high quality version for this because the area moves by so fast and it looks bad even in the HQ video. Even the UHQ version has some artefacts left, but that's because of the grey foggy background.
t2_rancor: The Rancor seems to react on sound and vision. However, as opposed to jaden, the prisoners don't seem to make any noises when running away. So unless they run into its line of sight, they can get past the rancor easily. I freeze it facing the wall with Mind Trick and so the second and third set of prisoners can run by to safety. I take another way up in the enc so I don't accidently block the way of the prisoners, slowing them down.
taspir1: The flying Stormtroopers are the only enemies you can stand on. Theoreticly, that is. Thy usually move away instantly when you're on top of them or even just close. As awesome as this shortcut might be, it isn't easy to do.
taspir2: I choose the light side for two reasons. 1) It's faster to just take down the lightsaber instead of slicing Rosh into pieces.
kor1: 2) Although you have the same amount of enemies in this level, on the light side, you only have to fear the Sith. You also seem to get pushed around less on the light side because Jedi and Sith are busy with each other and don't really mind you.

It includes Kyle Katarn who must face the Sith . This game is a first-person shooter , which means that the action takes place usually in the first person, but the presence of the lightsaber , typical of the universe Star Wars changes the game for the third person , so it then approaches an adventure game like Tomb Raider . This alternation of views is appreciated by some players. Early in the game, the lightsaber and the powers of the Force can not be used, they appear later in the game. Note also that it is possible to use the lightsaber in first person in Jedi Outcast, which is impossible in Jedi Academy.
Following the decision by Disney to close the studio LucasArts the3 April 2013, Developers Raven Software released the source code of the game on SourceForge under license GNU GPL v2 1 . Shortly after, this source code has been removed because it contained proprietary libraries specific to the Xbox and Bink Video 2 .
The game takes place eight years after the defeat of the Empire at the Battle of Endor. The New Republic was established and continues the Empire’s remnants through the galaxy.
Kyle and his constant companion January Ors , go to a planet called Kejim . This track will lead to Artus Prime , a planet controlled by the New Republic. Kyle and Jan go and find it, that the planet is under Imperial control. Kyle discovers that there are prisoners and decides to release them. When he returns to the surface, the prisoners themselves trapped. Kyle helps and continues his adventure when he receives a message from Jan.
However, when he finds her, she is trapped in a dark Jedi named Desann and his right arm Tavion . Kyle confronts but is defeated by Desann. When the latter ordered his apprentice to kill Jan, Kyle becomes enraged but unable to prevent it. Desann flees and Kyle as part of his side

Mothma has given them a mission of inspection to see if there are truly imperial present. Rather bored by this mission, both agents quickly discover that the basis on which they come to ask of the Empire soldiers crawling. After cleaning the main building, Kyle decides to explore a last sector, staying in radio contact with his partner. Throughout his progress in this area, he met more and more evidence about the cryonicsand strange shiny green crystals. He managed to get out of this secret lab while the New Republic intercepts a hostile message Galak Fyyar for a Desann .
Back in Coruscant , in Mothma, the two mercenaries learn that discovered crystals come from a mining planet named Artus Prime . They would actually cortose, a material resistant to lightsaber ; the worst eventualities are to be feared. Motivated by a double salary, two companions go investigate Artus, covered with a thick layer of toxic clouds. Thus, Jan Kyle deposited into a ravine in which he will attempt to make their way to the mines without being noticed. But he finds even worse than what he had seen on Kejim: Imperial extract ore using prisoners of the New Republic to dig galleries. Kyle releases with the help of friendly ships stepped in as soon as the news spread. It also destroys powerful ion cannons and finds Jan in a small canyon nearby. Alas, the young woman has just been captured by two Dark Jedi : Desann and of his disciples, Tavion. These last two companion kill Kyle with a saber. Mad with rage, the mercenary shoots Desann, but the Lord Sith with Force the control easily. Yet invoking pity, he leaves alive. But in fact he wants to push it to the end of nerve and make him make mistakes.
Recovered from his emotions, Kyle decides to become a Jedi order to defeat his new arrogant enemy. So he left immediately for the Valley of the Jedi where he quenches the Force in the company of his father spectrum Morgan Katarn who warns him against his hateful motives. He will then retrieve his lightsaber guarded by Luke Skywalker to the Jedi Academy. But without the New Republic knew, Desann invaded the Valley of the Jedi whose position was revealed by the action of Kyle. It nevertheless finds his powers and lightsaber. Lando Kyle deposited in the lower levels of his city and gives it the task of finding a R5 unit containing the codes for all platforms of the city, in the carbon freezing chamber n o 17 and perhaps catch the Jedi Black . Along the way, Katarn faces of soldiers capable of wielding the lightsaber which gives it a bit more of a headache than conventional bandits.
Once found droid Kyle accesses the city proper and is helped by some resistant. He arrives at a carrier platforms for the city and met Tavion .
